Round Tin idea

Good Morning Ladies!

I am so excited!  As you know I often play with the challenges at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I have played with them since they started their blog.  I love their challenges and for some reason they come easy.  Well last week I received and e-mail asking me to join their design team.  This is my first official post for them.

Our challenge this week is to use Romantic colors – Black, Red, Whisper White or Very Vanilla.  My assigned project was my choice.  I wasn’t sure what I was going to do as I wanted to do something other than a card.  As I was sitting in my craft room thinking, I remembered my friend Barb had given me some things from her daughter’s birthday celebration.  I pulled out one of the round tins she had given me and went to work.

I covered the bottom with black patterned paper from the designer series neutrals stack.  I then wrapped the lid with white gingham and then layered on the Real Red 1/8″ taffeta ribbon.  I then added a bow to the side.

The top is clear so I had to do something with it.  I punched a black circle then layered a red scalloped circle on top.  I then punched a white circle and stamped a sentiment.  I added some leaves around the edges and then put it in the lid.  My tin was done but I wanted to put something inside so I punched 3 hearts and added some Andes mints.  Here is my final creation.

So what did you think of my first project for the design team?  I hope you will head over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog and check out what the other design team members created.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!
