I hope everyone is having a great day! I think our nice days are numbered and we are going to have cooler temperatures and cloudy/rainy days. It is already getting dark earlier. Yuck! Anyone else dislike the shorter days? It is hard to get used to 5:00 being dark.
I am sure you are aware of the new Stampin’ Up demonstrator agreement where we are not allowed to acknowledge stamps from other companies. There have been a number of blogs I read where the ladies are not signing the agreement and will discontinue their demonstratorship after this month. I debated long and hard about signing and spent a lot of time last week thinking about my blog. I thought about continuing to make my cards with other images and not listing the company. Unfortunately I do not think that copyright laws will allow that. I love Stampin’ Up cardstock and ink, but I have to admit I get tired of always doing cards with flowers. I love the cute kitty, moose, hedgehog, and other animal stamps that are available from other companies. Stampin’ Up does not currently have cute animal stamps. I am not fond of their animal stamps in the current catalog. I am debating about continuing to post as often as I do but using some of the retired sets once in a while to give me a break from the flowers. Do you have any thoughts?
Okay enough chatting! Today’s card is for the Color Dare blog. You were to use Old Olive, Pale Plum, Rich Razzleberry, and Very Vanilla. These are the colors in the Cottage Wall DS paper and I love this paper and color combination. It was fun to create my card without a sketch to follow. I used one of my new sets which caught my eye when the catalog came out. I love this card, what do you think about it? Here is my creation.
inside of card
Stamps: Herb Expressions Paper: Old Olive, Pale Plum, Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla Ink: Old Olive, Pale Plum Accessories: Old Olive – Pale Plum – Rich Razzleberry markers, ribbon, scalloped oval punch, sponge dauber, sticky tape, dimensionals
Hope you have some plans to stamp today! Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!
Robbie
I love the card robbie. The colors and combination with the flowers are just yummy to my eye. As far as Stampin Up I agree with you about the stamps. They get boring and same ol same old. I do love their solid cardstock, and it can always be ordered online. It's sad that they have done that to you gals and the ones I have been reading are not going to sign. They may lose a lot of money because of this. I have been buying lots of stamps from other companies and enjoy the variety I have besides flowers. I will miss reading your blog and seeing your creations if you post off and on. Sandy
I hate to see anyone limit their options in this wonderful world of creative art! I am glad you played along with us in the challenge and hope to see you back for the next!
Robbie, this is fantastic!! I love it!
