I was working on cards last week for a home show and wanted to use the Sweet Stems set. I also wanted to use some glitter on the petals. Well I tried this several times with Stickles and crystal effects and glitter and needless to say I knew it would be too hard to do in a workshop setting. So after all was said and done I had 3 of the images with glitter in some form on them. Now I am not one to just throw away the images since they didn’t work out so I thought it would be fun to use the images to create 3 different cards.
I cut each image out using my oval Nestabilities. I then found patterned paper to match the glittered petals and using the patterned paper for the solid cardstock color I cut a scalloped oval to mount the stamped image on.
Since the patterned paper was different sizes, I went with the size to design each card. Here is the first one. I mounted the scallop image oval on a large piece of the patterned paper and added the pretty silk ribbon at the top. Let me know what you think of this one.
