Had some fun yesterday!

Happy Friday Ladies!

I have 2 cards for you today. The first card is for the Late Night Stampers patriotic challenge. You were to use the colors of you flag to create a card. I was inspired by this card by Chera and by a card that someone made (can’t remember who) that used strips of red, white, and blue at the bottom. I used the small star punch to create a stencil which I used to decorate the inside. Using those 2 website ideas here is my creation.

Stampin’ Up Supplies
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Real Red, white Ink: Brilliant Blue, Real Red Accessories: small and large star punch, white grosgrain ribbon, sponge dauber, Zots, dimensionals

My second card uses 3 challenges. I used the color challenge from Stamping 411.

I combined it with a sketch challenge at Cards & Things. I also saw a die cut challenge at Creative Belli. I ran across some blogs that showed some different shapes you can make with the Top Note Die. Since I have this die I decided to try this idea. I ended up turning my paper 90 degrees for a total of 3 times to get this shape. I then cut on the perforated lines so I could layer it with Taken with Teal. Next I used the line stamp in Razzle Dazzle and colored with markers and stamped it once at each end of the paper (you don’t need to worry about it matching up perfectly as the center is covered by the center image layer). I also used the flower image and colored it with markers. I then layered all the images on the card and finished with brads and a bow with a punched stamped flower in the center. I then spritzed the finish card (just once this time hehehe) with my shimmer mist spray but it doesn’t show in the photo. Here is the sketch and my creation.

Hope you enjoyed my cards today. Do you have big plans for the weekend? It is supposed to be cold and rainy this weekend so I plan on doing some stamping this weekend. I want to work on my commitment for next week. I am hoping to get ahead of the game since I have observations to do next week. Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!
