Hand Stamped Sentiments – Patriotic Thanks

Hello Ladies!

Yesterday was a quiet day for me.  I was able to work on my cards for my Retirement Village ladies today.  I also finished up the last of my design team commitment for Stamp Academy.  Now I just need to write up the tutorial for the cards for Sending Kisses.  I am hoping to work on that this afternoon as I have to work for the college this evening.

The Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is today.  We have a sketch challenge this time.

I wasn’t sure what I was going to do for this sketch.  I did not want to use a flower for that element so I decided to look and see what I could use instead.  I realized the star framelits would be work.  After that I had to decide what direction to take with my card.  I thought it would be perfect to use a patriotic theme.  Once I had that decided the rest just fell into place.  I used patterned paper for the star and the rectangles.  I cut the circle out of card stock and embossed “Thank” in gold.  I then cut out the word “you” in white.  All I had to do was assemble it.  Here is what I created using this sketch.

We would love to have you show us what you can do with our sketch.  Head on over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog to see the other design team members work of art.  Then join us and create your version of our sketch.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I hope you have some time to be creative today.  Have a Terrific Tuesday!
