Handmade Card for Friend
Hello Everyone – I made a cute blue Handmade Card for Friend to share with you today.
We are watching the Tropical Storm here to see which direction it will be going. As it is projecting now it will be west of us but we will still get rain. As long as we don’t get the winds it will be fine. It is hurricane season here so we can expect this until the end of November. We tend to watch the tropics a lot here and see what develops and which direction it goes.
When I began designing my card for today I pulled out my You’re a Peach suite. This suite is the focus of this month’s Fun Fold Peaches class. Wouldn’t you love to make these fun fold cards? Click the photo below for all the details.
I knew I wanted to make a card for a friend. Since I had not used some of the solid pattern paper in the paper pack I opted to see how I could use some of it with the stamp set.
I love it when I can use a stamp set in a different way than it was intended. The Sweet as a Peach stamp set is one of those sets. The images can be used for peaches, blueberries, plums, and any other fruit that is round and all you have to do is change the colors.
I used the blue striped pattern from the You’re a Peach patterned paper and die cut blue fruit to make them blueberries. This color combination is the classic light and dark blue.
Do you see the strips of blue behind the pattern paper? Those are actually off-cut scraps that I cut the ends at an angle. Doesn’t it make a great interest element? Check out my Handmade Card for Friend below and then what fruit could you use this set for?
This is a clean and simple friendship card that uses patterned paper as the main focal point. This idea could be easily used to send to a guy!
