Hello Stampers ~ I have a handmade Christmas Card idea for you today.
I did manage to make a few cards yesterday. I needed a few more thank you cards for last month so I took some time to make the few more I needed. Today I am planning on sending out my Thank You notes and a few other things. I will also take some time to do some knitting. My friend at the yarn store has gone to California as her daughter is pregnant with twins. She will be there until after the babies are born and then they will come home. It will be several months before she is back in the shop. Until then I will be knitting at home.
The C.A.S.E.ing the Catty challenge is going on at the Facebook group. This week they are showcasing the Holidays section, pages 112-125, of the 2017-2108 Annual Catalogue. I went looking and as it turns out I only have 1 set from that section of the catalog. I was not thrilled with the cards they created using the stamp set, so I sent looking for another card. I found a great card I wanted to use on page 121.
First thing I did was choose my colors. I opted for Soft Sky for the snowflakes. I then had to find a color to go with that so I decided to use Island Indigo. Now that I have my colors and my stamp set I was ready to work on the card. I stamped the snowflakes all over the label shape. Then I stamped my sentiment in the center with Island Indigo. I added some Dazzling Diamond glimmer paper on each end. I wanted to add some texture so the Softly Falling embossing folder was the answer. I embossed the background and added the sentiment layer using dimensionals. Here is my Handmade Christmas card!
