Handmade Christmas Greeting Card
Hello Everyone – Pink and green make a beautiful Handmade Christmas Greeting Card.
I love poinsettias at Christmas time. My favorite are the pink ones. That light hint of pink with the green is beautiful. I had not played with the Poinsettia Petals and coordinating dies and I knew they would make a beautiful pink and green card.
I began by playing around with stamping the poinsettia. I tried stamping it with Smoky Slate and sponging on some pink. That did not go well! lol So I then played with stamping it using Blushing Bride. The best color came with using a second generation stamping of the petals. The leaves used first, second, and third generation stamping to get the various colors and dimension.
The flower was beautiful but it needed something to make it pop. Went looking at my pattern paper and the Expressions in Ink used Mint Macaron. I wanted some gold accents also. The perfect piece is the green watercolor with gold threads so I cut my panel.
To finish the card, I added an embossed background panel and some strips of gold foil.
