Hello Stampers ~ I have a beautiful Handmade Religious Christmas card to share with you today.
Well I got everything I needed to have completed before I leave today but 2 blog posts. I will finish them up this morning and then I will be set through Sunday. Jess came home early yesterday as day care called her and she had to pick up Remi. She was running a low grade fever and was coughing. There is a virus going through the day care and I guess Remi caught it. Naturally she has to be home today as they cannot come back until they have been fever free for 24 hours. I will have her this morning while Jess goes to work and then she will come home and I will leave. It is never ending when you have little ones!
I wanted to show you how easy it is to create clean and simple cards that still can be very elegant. A lot depends on the colors you choose to use. To me navy, vanilla, and gold says elegant. I decided to use those colors for my creation today. I began with a Night of Navy card base. I took a layer of Very Vanilla – 4″ x 5 1/4″ and added an Eastern Gold Vinyl Sticker down the left hand side. This was then added to my card base. I used another piece of Night of Navy card stock that was 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ and using the Softly Falling embossing folder I embossed the panel. I love this folder and used it on one of the cards in my November Creations of the Month. This was added to the card base with Tear & Tape leaving all of the sticker showing and a little of the Very Vanilla panel on the right hand side showing. I stamped the image using Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder. The Stitched Shapes framelits were used to cut it out. I then used the Layering Circles and some Gold Foil paper and cut out a circle a little larger than the image layer. The 2 ovals were layered using Tear & Tape. The completed image element was added to the card front using dimensionals. Here is the elegant Handmade Religious Christmas Card.
