Handmade Valentine Card

Hello Everyone ~ I have a quick but cute Handmade Valentine Card for you today.

The dentist appointment was a quick one.  It is basically just to go over my history.  I will have to go back for my cleaning.  Not sure why they have to have 2 appointments but we will see.  I also went over and ordered new glasses.  I have a new prescription so I needed to get that done also.  The only thing left is a doctor’s appointment which I made and just have to wait for the date.  Then almost all my doctor’s have been taken care of.  So much to do when you move!

Exclusively Cards will go live in 3 days!  It is the perfect program if you are looking for ideas for just cards!  Yesterday I shared sneak peeks of the projects made using the Lemon Zest bundle.  But my designs are so versatile they can be used with the Daisy Delight bundle.  Here is the sneak peek of those cards.  You don’t want to miss this fabulous online class!

I missed almost all of month’s challenges with the Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I could not believe that I missed several of them.  I made sure I was ready for the challenge today.  This challenge was an Inspiration challenge.

When I saw this picture the first thing that jumped out at me was the cupcake with the heart on top.  I knew I wanted to use that idea for my card.  I began with a Whisper White card base.  I added  a layer of the All My Love designer series paper.  I chose the one with the hearts on it.  I created the next panel by taking a piece of Whisper White card stock cut to the layer size I needed and using the Sunshine Wishes thinlits I cut the heart out in the lower right hand corner.  I saved the white pieces as I knew I would do an inlaid technique with the heart.  I then used the same heart framelit to cut the heart out of Lovely Lipstick.  I added the panel to the card base and then glued the heart into the space.  The white pieces were then placed into the open spaces.  I die cut the word Love from Lovely Lipstick also and added it to the upper left hand corner.  To finish the card, I made a bow from Lovely Lipestick 1/8″ grosgrain ribbon.  Here is my completed Handmade Valentine Card.
