Hello Everyone ~ a pretty Happy Birthday in Pretty Peacock is my idea for today.
I have a quote for you today.
Be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud. – Maya Angelou
Do you know it is easy to be a rainbow for someone else? If you are like me you have a bunch of cards you have made. Sending someone a handmade card is a great way to send a “rainbow” in the mail. Pull out your cards and send some of them out to people who might need a rainbow!
I managed to get some laundry done, most of the Christmas things down and packed up, went to the grocery store, and the girls bedroom put back together yesterday. I also made a few cards that I needed for the blog. Today I will be working on getting the last of the laundry done, the last of the Christmas things down and the bins put back in the attic, and some cards for my February workshop started. I also need to make some phone calls and schedule a few appointments while I am home. Another busy day!
It has been almost a month since I have been in my studio being creative. I did not know what I was going to do for my card so I decided to pull out some panels I created a while ago and used them to for a couple of cards. The first one today was the paper I set my tissue paper on to dry. When you set the paper onto the card stock the ink bleeds through and colors the card stock. The panel on the back of this card was the result of the tissue paper drying on the card stock. I kept it simple by adding some ribbon and stamped flowers. I used the Floral Essence set for the flowers and the coordinating punch to make my flowers. The ribbon is some of the Silver metallic edge which I love! To finish off the card the sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and punched out with the 1 1/2″ circle punch. A piece of Pretty Peacock and the 1 3/4″ circle punch was used to make the layer for the sentiment. The circles were layered and then added with dimensionals. The flowers were also added with dimensionals and then a rhinestone was added to the center of each. Here is the completed Happy Birthday in Pretty Peacock.

If you need a birthday card, check out these. This masculine card uses a fun sailboat and some dies for the waves. If you have small images, here is an idea to use them. This one uses some designer series paper with a small cake image.
