Well I can’t believe the stores are all pushing Christmas. It seems like such a shame that we jump right into Christmas and don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving. Well not me! I plan on posting quite a few fall/Thanksgiving cards between now and Thanksgiving day. I will post a few Christmas cards also so you get some ideas for your cards.
Today’s card uses the scarecrow from the set in the Holiday mini. I wasn’t going to order the set but one of my customers (Hi Pat!) asked if I was going to get it as she wanted some ideas as to how to use it. Well I must admit I am glad I ordered it. I love the scarecrow in this set! He is so cute to work with.
On today’s card I used my Cuttlebug to make the background behind him. I also had this candy corn stamp and thought it would look cute with him. I had the card all made and it looked bare (I hadn’t done anything to the background of the main card). So I pulled out my other fall set and thought the vine would look nice. I used my marker to color it in and stamped it. Needless to say my layers did not let me get a good impression. So I decided to try and stamp it again on top of my first stamp. Didn’t work as I got 2 different impressions. But after sighing and looking at it for a while, I liked the look so I decided to stamp the other edges to create a hodge podge of vines. Liked how it turned out despite my stamping mistake.
