Hello Fall Handmade Card

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Hello Stampers ~ my Hello Fall Handmade Card uses some great colors for the leaves.

Are you ready for the big Turkey day today?  We will have a late dinner as Zoie and Remi are up to their other grandparents.  Jess will go get them later today and we will have our dinner when they get here.  That is fine with me as that lets me sleep in and take my time fixing the dinner.  We are not having turkey.  We are having Stuffed Ham (a St. Mary’s County traditional food), baked chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and veggies.  We will have cheesecake for dessert.  With only the 5 of us (my sister will join us) we cannot find a small turkey so we opted for another meat entre.  This way we do not have a ton of leftovers.

Today my card began with 2 challenges.  I really liked the color challenge at Just Us Girls

These colors just screamed Fall to me.  I have added blue to my fall leaves lately and I am really liking the look.  I also saw a sketch challenge at Try Stampin’ On Tuesday  that I wanted to use.

So I began with the oval element and opted for Fall leaves for that element.  I sponged my color onto Very Vanilla card stock.  The leaf from the Colorful Seasons bundle was stamped with Versamark and then heat embossed using gold embossing powder.  The coordinating framelit was use to cut them out.  I used the Painted Autumn dsp was cut for the top and bottom with top being smaller than the bottom.  This was attached to the Very Vanilla card base using Snail.  Skinny strips of gold glimmer paper were cut and added next to the dsp using Tear & Tape.  The leaves were added to the upper left hand corner using glue dots and dimensionals.  I added a sentiment using the Tabs for Everything stamp set.  It was punched out using the 3/4″ circle punch.  After mounting it onto a 1″ circle of Early Espresso I added it to the card base with a dimensional.  Here is my completed Hello Fall Handmade Card.
