Hoping for a new venture

Well I am going out on a limb and trying this again. I have applied for several design teams and have not been lucky enough to be chosen. I was checking out the forums on Splitcoast Stampers and just popped into the design team calls and saw there was one posted for The Pixie Cottage. I decided to check out their stamps as you have to like the company’s stamps or it will not be a good match. I loved their stamps and felt they matched my style so I decided to give a try.

One of the application requirements is to create 3 cards, post them, and link them back to their blog. I have my 3 cards below. The first card uses the sketch from the 365 Cards blog. I wanted my black layer to have a little extra so I used the trick or treat stamp and clear embossing powder to create my own background paper. I also decided to create another Halloween card. Here is the sketch and my creation.

Stamps: Spooktacular (TAC), Trick or Treat (Canadian Maple Collections) Paper: Basic Black, Gable Green, white Ink: Veramark, Palette Noir Black Accessories: Barely Banana – Gable Green – So Saffron markers, Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pens – Clear & Gold, Nestabilities, ribbon (Michael’s), clear embossing powder, sticky tape, dimensionals

My second card uses a new set I just got. I was in the mood to use one of my favorite color combos – Mellow Moss and Regal Rose. I used markers to color my stamps and then traced over the image with my clear Stardust pen to add some sparkle. Here is my second creation.

Stamps: Herb Expressions, Speckle background (retired) Paper: Mellow Moss, Regal Rose, white, Patterns Pack II DS Ink: Mellow Moss Accessories: Mellow Moss – Regal Rose markers, ribbon (Pink Hedgehog), sticky tape, dimensionals

My last card is little different from what I usually do. I used the sketch from the 2 Sketches 4 You blog. I saw on a blog someone had embossed a flower shape in just white. Then she had sponged color in 3 bands across the card. I decided to try this using fall colors. I embossed the leaves with Chocolate Chip then sponged on More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, and Ruby Red. I was not fond of the sponging so I decided to use my aqua painter to blend the colors better. I turned out okay. After that I just had to put the card together. Here is the sketch and my card.

Hope you enjoyed my cards today. I’m not sure I will post this weekend. Lots going on but I will try. Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!
