I Finally Got To Make Some Cards!

Well I finally got a chance to spend some time in my craft room yesterday. I was able to finish my cards for my Christmas stamp-a-stack as well as create 2 cards that fit into 4 challenges. It felt so good to be creative again.

My first card was for the sketch challenge at the Card Positioning Systems blog. I combined it with the color challenge at the Diva Coffee Break Designs blog. At my workshop last week I used the rock-n-roll technique and I loved the look of the leaves, so I decided to use that method on my card today. This was a quick simple card and I love how it turned out. Here is the sketch and my creation.

Stamps: Falling Leaves Paper: Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, Creamy Caramel, Ruby Red, Very Vanilla Ink: Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, Creamy Caramel, Ruby Red
My second card uses the sketch from the Eat Sleep Stamp blog. When I saw this sketch I knew I wanted to do something other than a fall/Thanksgiving card. I went looking for a color challenge and saw one at the Colour Create blog. You were to use blue, silver, and white. Those colors reminded me of snow and winter and I decided to create a Christmas card. I used the Patterned Pines hostess set from the mini. I think this card would make a good nondenominational Christmas card. I love the way it turned out. Here is the sketch and my creation.

Hope you enjoyed my cards today. I will be spending time in my craft room today doing some more challenges. Check back tomorrow to see what I came up with. Have a Marvelous Monday!
