I’m 4 for 4

Well only 1 more day and the weekend will be here. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today’s card is a result of my brayering for yesterday’s card. After I had brayered the paper I loved the look and wondered what it would look like with green. So while I had my colors out and my mojo flowing I pulled out a green and brayered another piece for today’s card. My goal was to stamp a silhouette on it.

As I was looking at the paper yesterday I thought my original idea wasn’t going to work. I had wanted to stamp a silhouette in black on the card. The more I looked at it the more I knew I would not be happy as the inks were dark. I thought about it for several hours as I did other things and all of a sudden it hit me – why not stamp and emboss in white. I decided to give it a try. I chose to use the Pocket Silhouettes set as it had a small open flower similar to Queen Anne’s Lace and I knew that would work. I stamped the flower with Whisper White craft and embossed with white and Razzle Dazzle (it was an old SU embossing powder I have had for many years). I like how it looked but it still needed something. I decided that a sentiment would be good. I love the saying in the One of a Kind set so I used that one. I then just had to determine my layers and I also decided to emboss my card front as it needed that little extra pop. I really like how it turned out. How about you, what do you think? Here is the brayered paper and my creation.

  1. I guess I've got to get my brayer out and give this technique a whirl. Great job – great card.
