In Color Week at Late Night Stampers

Good Monday Morning Everyone!

I had a great time at regionals.  It was not as exciting as Convention but I think that is because the number of people at Convention is probably 10 times as many as was there Friday.  Being a helper had its advantages.  I was able to get a table right up front.  They had some great presentations and I got some pretty swaps.  The only thing I forgot was my camera.  I was so mad!  Oh well.

This week at Late Night Stampers the challenge is to use the In Colors.  I will make a card each day that highlights one of the In Colors.  Today I chose to do Poppy Parade.  I also decided to use some of my things I received from Regionals.  As part of our registration we got the set Day of Gratitude.  I have seen some awesome cards with this set and was so excited to hear it was the set we would get.  We also got some glitter brads in the In Colors so I will be using those also.

I went looking for some sketch challenges to see if there was anything that grabbed my attention.  I found a great one at Sketch Frenzy Friday.

I used the My Create Ink – Color Lab site to find some colors to combine with Poppy Parade.  They suggested Early Espresso and River Rock so I decided to give them a try.  I colored the large image with markers and stamped it on scrap paper.  I did not like the look (I had used River Rock in the center, Poppy Parade for the flowers and leaves, and Early Espresso for the outside ouline) so I cleaned my stamp and recolored in.  I like the way this one turned out so I used it on my card.  I have to admit that when I finished this card I wasn’t certain whether I liked it or not but the more I look at it the more I like it.  Here is my creation.

I got today to pick up my entries from the fair.  I am curious to see how I did.  I will let you know.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday.
