Good Morning Everyone ~ an Itty Bitty Love What You Do card is on the blog today.
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday! It was dreary here all day so I played in my craft room after Jess picked up Remi. She wanted to do some more coloring, cutting, and gluing so we did that for a while. When she woke up this morning she rolled over and looked at me and said, “It’s wakey wakey time!”. She them turned over and went back to sleep. It took her about a half hour to finally be fully awake and want to get up. That was fine with me as she is not an easy person to sleep with. Needless to say I will be going to be early tonight!
If you are not signed up for my newsletter you missed getting a cute Father’s Day treat box that used the designer series paper I used on my card today. Make sure you sign up on the right so that you do not miss any of my e-mails as I share lots of great tips and projects. Today’s card actually began with the designer series paper. I ran across a sketch that I wanted to give a try so I chose the designer series paper first. The diagonal strip is the back of the green piece. After I had the card base created I needed an image. I wanted something a little different from flowers and decided to look at the other images in my sets. These are the images that are often overlooked when we pull out a set to use for our cards. The Love What You Do stamp set has 2 such stamps. The sprigs in the set were just the image I wanted for my creation. I stamped one in Night of Navy to match the color on the diagonal strip. I chose to use Calypso Coral for the other color to bring in another color. These sprigs were fussy cut as there is no framelit for the. I used a small strip from the end of the dimensionals to go down the center of the sprigs and added them to my card base in the upper left hand corner. It still needed something so I went looking for a sentiment. I just got the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and there was a fun one I decided to use. I stamped it with Night of Navy and then used the 1 1/8″ scallop circle punch to cut it out. I mounted it onto a 1 3/8″ scallop circle from Night of Navy. The circles were mounted and then it was added to my card base using dimensionals. Here is the Itty Bitty Love What You Do creation.
