Just Because Vertical Greetings from Stampin’ Up

Hello Everyone ~ I have a feminine card for you today with my Just Because Vertical Greetings from Stampin’ Up.

I treated myself yesterday and had a pedicure.  I have not had one in a long time.  I went with Barb so it was nice to have some time to sit and chat with her.  Afterwards we went shopping for a few things.  I picked up an item I am going to use for my 12 Weeks of Christmas series and she got a new oil decanter.  We made plans to meet today to work on some small treat ideas to send to the girls.  I also met with the builder to get some things finalized.  We got the go ahead to clear the land so that should happen in the next few weeks.  After I met with him I went to the granite place to see what hey had.  I started with one idea and then went in an entirely different direction when I saw a back splash I fell in love with.  I have made some changes in this house.  The color palette inside is gray and white and I am bringing in my color in my accessories.  Anyone who knows me knows I love my color and I am not afraid of it.  It has been a real struggle to keep my color palette neutral as I am missing my color.  I was not happy with any of the granite I saw but then she said lets look at back splashes.  I saw the perfect one for me!  It was white and silver tiles so I have lots of bling!  If I can’t have color you know I have to have bling.  When I put the granite with the back splash and the white cabinet door, I immediately thought of little black dress and class.  I just hope it looks ok.  I will meet with the builder’s wife who is an interior decorator and see what she says.

I have a very feminine card for you today.  The next set on the second round of my Catalog Journey was the Vertical Greetings stamp set.  I opted to use the topiary with the heart at the top.  I took my panel and masked off a section at the top.  The area was sponged using Blushing Bride ink.  I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment down the right hand side using the same ink.  The image was colored with markers.  I used Early Espresso for the pot, Melon Mambo for the heart, and Garden Green for the stems.  This was stamped on the left hand side of the panel.  I used some of the Blushing Bride reinker with alcohol and dyed the Polka Dot tulle ribbon.  When it was dry I added it to the bottom of the panel.  The panel was added to a Blushing Bride card base.  To finish the card I tied a bow with the ribbon and added it with a glue dot.  Here is the completed Just Because Vertical Greetings from Stampin’ Up creation.
