Hello Everyone ~ Did you know you can use the Let It Snow dsp with the Daisy Lane bundle to create the perfect Let It Snow Daisy creation?
Well we are headed home today. We have an early flight out but we do not land at BWI until dinner time. The time difference always gets us on the way back. I will stay at Jess’ tonight and then head back to North Carolina in the morning. Everyone will be back to routines tomorrow! It will be good to be back in my own bed!
In continuing with the Let It Snow series of cards I chose the red dot pattern for today. While this paper is snow themed I do not associate red with snow. That is why I chose to use a different idea with it. I opted to use a strip of the red dotted paper and mount it onto a piece of Real Red card stock. I then took a card basel of Whisper White and embossed the front of the card it using the Layered Leaves embossing folder. The red panel was then attached to the card base using Tear & Tape. Always use Tear & Tape when you are adding something to an embossed panel. Since embossing creates valleys and peaks on the card stock the Tear & Tape is a strong hold ensuring your pieces stay adhered together. On scrap card stock I stamped the daisy 3 times using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The center of the flower was colored with a Daffodil Delight marker. The coordinating punch was used to punch out the 3 flowers. I used glue dots to layer the 3 flowers offsetting each layer for a full flower. Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to add the daisy to the card front. The sentiment was stamped using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a scrap of Whisper White. The 1 1/8″ scallop circle punch was used to punch it out. It was then added to card front using a dimensional. Here is the completed Let It Snow Daisy creation.
