Hello Stampers ~ I used another technique on my Love What You Do Simply Wonderful creation today.
I hope you are checking things off your to do list. Christmas is right around the corner and you want to avoid all the last minute rush to get things done. I spent some time yesterday working on some more of my projects. I managed to get one almost completed. I left my Daffodil Delight ink home so I am trying to find someone here I can borrow the ink pad from. That meant I had to stop what I was doing and move on to the next project. I got a good bit of that one started and basically have to put it together today. I am also going to the yarn store today. I have yarn and pom poms to make the girls winter hats. Somewhere in the move I have places one of my knitting needle sets in a safe place and I cannot locate it. I have to see if I can get needles at the yarn store and start working on them. It will be nice to catch up with my friends there.
Today I played with another idea I saw online. It is similar to a One Sheet Wonder but I messed up the first quarter of the sheet so I just cut the sheet up into quarters and did the same technique on one panel at a time. The concept is similar to border stamping but in the middle of the panel. I first created my sentiment panel so I knew where I had to stamp. Then using the flowers from Love What You Do and Pacific Point ink I inked up only the top of the flowers and not the entire stem. I stamped it across the panel just above where the sentiment panel would go. Next I used one of the stems from the set and Sahara Sand ink and stamped it above the flowers masking off the flowers. I also did a second stamping without inking it up to add some depth. The mini flower cluster was stamped up near the top of the stems using Merry Merlot ink. I then filled in the bottom using the leaf from the sent and also did a second generation stamping. The card panel was then turned 180 degrees and I repeated the above procedure on the other half making sure my stems did not go beyond the sentiment strip. Once I had all the stamping completed I mounted the panel onto a Sahara Sand panel that was just a tiny bit larger than the image panel. I wanted a larger border around the card so these panels are smaller than the normal 4″ x 5 1/4″. The image panel was mounted onto a Merry Merlot card base. The sentiment was stamped using Merry Merlot ink onto a Whisper White strip and then attached to a Merry Merlot strip. The sentiment strip was added to the card base using dimensionals. To finish off the card, I added rhinestones to the bottom of the flower blossoms. Here is the completed Love What You Do Simply Wonderful creation.

I have not used the Love What You Do stamp set very often. Here is another idea using almost the same images. This card uses washi tape with the flower images to make a quick card. The last card shows how to use the stamp set with designer series paper.
