Hello Ladies ~ today’s Lovely As A Tree Christmas Tag uses some old favorites.
Yesterday Barb, Diane, and I went to see the movie Instant Family. It was a very cute movie. We laughed, we cried, and we enjoyed ourselves. If you get the chance to see the movie it is definitely worth it. I did not get down to the lot Tuesday to see the house. Barb did send me some pictures of the progress today. I now have a frame. Here are the photos she sent me.
The whole house photo shows one of the extra bedrooms, the kitchen, and the dining room. The other photo looks through the kitchen to the door out to my screened in porch. When I can go visit again I will take some more photos. I am so excited!
Today I decided to use some old favorites to create a quick and easy tag. I began with a Crumb Cake base that was 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″. The Woodland embossing folder was used to emboss the panel. I used the Detailed Trio punch to round the corners and punch the hole for the ribbon. On a scrap of Whisper White I stamped the Lovely As A Tree pine tree using Shaded Spruce. The Soft Suede marker was used to color the trunk down the middle and the ground under the tree. The tree was then cut out and mounted to the left hand side of the base panel using dimensionals. I had part of the tree hanging off the tag to give it some interest. To add my sentiment I used the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set and inked up just the “Merry Christmas” on the sentiment using a Real Red marker onto Whisper White card stock. I cut the card stock down and then mounted it onto a layer of Real Red that was a little larger than the Whisper White. I mounted this onto the top right of the tag having some of the sentiment hanging over the edge of the tag. A piece of retired Silver Natural ribbon was added through the hole to be able to tie the tag to a gift. Here is my completed Lovely As A Tree Christmas Tag.
