Loving my punches

I have created quite a few cards using my punches lately. I have also been on a flower kick. Not sure why, maybe I am anxious for Spring. I am also doing a lot of layering. Not sure you can tell from the pictures but there has been a lot of dimension on my cards lately.

Today’s card used the sketch from Our Creative Corner . When I saw the circles I thought it would be fun to make flowers and have butterflies sitting on them. I wanted my flowers to be more than just punched so I used stamps that were outline and stamped them in a darker complimentary color on the cardstock. I wanted the butterflies to have the same effect so I stamped the Baroque Motifs swirl in a darker complimentary color on the cardstock then punched them out. To add some more punch (no pun intended 🙂 ) I used stickles to highlight the butterfly body. I didn’t think that was enough glitter so I used Gelly Roll pens and Spica microflake pens to trace over the stamped image on the flowers. It has just the right amount of bling. Okay I know you are anxious to see my card so here is the sketch, my card, and the inside. Let me know what you think.
