Masculine Card Idea
Hello Everyone – Monday means a masculine card idea is my share.
This card is easy with the Stitched with Whimsy and Tasteful Labels dies. They add exactly what this card needed.
I began by using the stitched die to add interest to the panel. Then I used one of the largest label dies to cut out the center of the panel. I wanted to add some color to area that will show from the cut out so I set the panel onto the card base and marked the edges of the cut out. I removed the panel and then moved the marks out about 1/2″ from the opening. Make sure you erase the first set of marks before you add the ink as you can’t once the ink is on top of the pencil mark.
Using the Soft Sea Foam ink and a blending brush add the ink in the space you marked off on the card front. Use the cut out panel to check your blending frequently as you can easily add too much ink. When you are happy with your background, you can stamp your sprig image.
To add your panel to your card front, add dimensionals around the edges and the cut out. Tip: this is a great way to use those long strips you have left over when you cut your dimensionals down. Stamp your sentiment inside the cut out frame. To finish off the card I added some of the Shaded Spruce Holiday rhinestones.
The measurements for this card are easy.

Card Base: White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
frame layer: White 4″ x 5 1/4″
The sprig was used to decorate the inside of the card and the envelope of the Masculine Card Idea.
I love playing with that sprig stamp for other ideas. This card uses the sprig with Fall colors for a colorful idea. For this card I used 2 of the Tasteful Labels dies to create fun layer for my image.
