Masculine Lost Lagoon

Hello Everyone!

Well we have a new month and Stampin” Up’s new catalog launches today.  I am still playing with the new in colors as I like some of them but still trying to find good matches for the others.

My card today began with the Late Night Stampers challenge.  This week we are celebrating June — Father’s Day, Flag Day, Graduation, or Wedding.  We were to
create a card, scrapbook page, or 3D project to celebrate a June occasion.  Since I hardly ever need a Graduation or Wedding card and Flag Day would be very similar to July 4th, I decided to go with Father’s Day as I can usually use a masculine card.

Mary Jo at Technostamper had an interesting sketch this week.

When I saw this sketch I saw the middle element as a belly band.  I went with that idea.  I really thought this sketch would be perfect for The Open Sea set but decided to use a different set  as I have used the other one quite a bit lately.  I really wanted to use the new color Lost Lagoon as I felt it would be great for a sea card.  I paired it with Soft Sky.  They make a great combination.  Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

Are you ready to see what the other ladies created for this challenge?  Head on over to Mary Jo’s blog – Technostamper to see what other projects were created using this sketch.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am headed to Baltimore to take my sister up for blood work.  Have a Marvelous Monday!

  1. Robbie love, love this card and if I would have been home this weekend had planned on using the punch like you did, but oh well, family comes first. I may have to case this one.

  2. Those colors do look great together! I love that you made the belly band. Such a great masculine card. Thanks so much for being a part of the TSSC team!
