Merry Little Falala

Hello Everyone!

Did you remember to turn your clocks back last night?  I for one was glad that I had that extra hour to sleep.  My weeks have been crazy so it was nice to have a little bit of extra time to relax in the morning.

I wasn’t certain what I was going to do  for my post today.  I had several challenges I had opened to see if I could get some inspiration.  I found several and decided to play with them.  I made a few cards using the challenges and have cards to go through several days.  I will use today to make some more so I can work on other projects this week.

My card today uses the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketch

I had some ideas for how to complete this sketch but ended up going in a different direction.  I wanted to try using a word framelit for the 3 squares.  To make it turn out the way I envisioned it I rotated the sketch.  I also had to use a rectangle rather than a square since the “f” was too large for a square.  I cut the framelit and cut my word apart and glued it down on the rectangle.  I found a piece of ds paper to use for the background and just needed my sentiment.  I pulled out my White Christmas set and only wanted part of the sentiment so I used my marker to color the part I wanted.  I then stamped it and punched it out.  Here is my final project.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I hope you enjoy your extra hour today and make a creative use of it.  Have a Sensational Sunday!

  1. Such a festive card. I love the idea to break up the sentiment across those squares! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

  2. This is such a clever use of that sentiment – it works perfectly with the sketch. Thanks for joining us at FMS this week!
