More Convention photos and a card!

I have more convention photos for you.

Main stage – the first picture is how the main stage has been decorated. The second picture show the theme of this convention. They have huge TV screens placed in the front and in the back of the main stage area.

They always have some of the best entertainment for us. This year they had 2 employees who sang the SU song and a group of dancers performed.

There are around 3,000 attendees this year. We are all waiting for the main stage event to start.

A friend whom I met online and have chatted with for about a year now was also going to convention. We talked about meeting up since we have never seen each other (she is in Vermont). With the number of ladies (and a few guys) here the chances are slim. Well I was doing a 3 x 3 swap yesterday and a friend on mine had found a 3D swap she thought I would be interested in. When I went over to check it out it was none other than Samantha! The odds of that happening are slim to none. We were both so excited. Here is Samantha and myself.

My card today is a special card I made for the Late Night Stampers design team swap. I love this card. I knew I wanted to use the It’s Charming stamp set. I stamped the script on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I then used markers to color the flower image. I stamped it on Whisper White and mounted it on Rich Razzleberry. I tore a piece of Pretty in Pink and Old Olive cardstock and mounted it on a piece of Whisper White that I had embossed with the Perfect Details texturz plate and then punched the edge with the scallop trim punch. I added the Rich Razzleberry taffeta ribbon and mounted on a Rich Razzleberry card. I mounted the pink and olive layer using dimensionals. The script and flower layer was mounted on the card using dimensionals. Here is what the final card looked like.

Well it is late here and I have to get up early for the last day of convention. Hope you enjoyed my card today. Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

  1. I love this card. It's such a pretty layout and the combination of colors is one of my favorites. I liked the flower and the sentiment stamp. Sounds like you are enjoying convention. Happy to hear you met your friend. Sandy
