Yesterday I hinted that Candice and I had tried some new techniques and that I had used my end product to create a card. We actually tried 2 techniques. The card in today’s post uses 1 of them (the other will come later as I need to pick up some supplies to finish it).
One of the techniques we tried was called Foxy Oxi and uses Oxi Clean (a product you add to your wash). I had picked up the Oxi Clean several weeks ago when it was on sale at Target. I had used it in my wash and when I read the directions I thought it would be fun to give it a try. Candice’s sample turned out different from mine. The neat fact about this technique is that the process continues to work for quite a while so your background changes constantly until the process is completed.
I wanted to use the ColorChallenge on Splitcoast this week so we choose to do the background using Kiwi Kiss. The flowers used More Mustard and Rose Red and the Rock – n – Roll technique. This card was a lot of fun and I am planning on using the card and technique in my workshop next month. Here is my creation.
inside the card
Stamps: Best Yet (Hostess), Eastern Blooms, Office Accoutrements, Weathered Background Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Shimmery White Ink: Kiwi Kiss, More Mustard, Rose Red Accessories: Oxi Clean, ribbon, Always Artichoke & Old Olive markers, water spray bottle, dimensionals
Isn’t this card just too cute? Will you be joining me for my March workshop? Let me know. Thanks for looking and have a great afternoon!
Robbie
