Donna at Butternut Sage Designs has a great challenge for us this week. We are to create a card that has a moving part. When I thought about this I thought about the spinner card. Since I have not done this type of card in a while I decided to make one of those.
I thought it would be fun to have a butterfly on the spinner as the have a tendency to flit about. When I put my butterfly on my spinner it was too small so I had to add a punched circle behind it. I also was originally going to have my butterfly going down the side of the card but opted or it to go across the top of the card.
The background was created using the shaving cream technique. Donna and I played with this technique while I was visiting her. I have lots more samples so I will be using them over the next few weeks. Here is my first creation with one of the backgrounds.
