Today’s card did not start out to be a winter card. I saw Tracy’s sketch at the Eat Sleep Stamp blog. When I read her description she mentioned how she liked the bottom piece peeking out from behind the strip down the card. When I read this I thought it would cute to have something really peeking out from behind the strip. I knew I didn’t have any sets that had a person in it. So I pulled out my catalog and started looking at the sets I had to see what would work. That is when I spied the snowman in Big on Christmas. So I did some thinking about how I could pull it off.
When I figured out how I could do it, I thought it would cool to have the background behind the snowman embossed with the Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder. After that the rest of the card was simple. I used Sahara Sand to stamp the snowflake on the Kraft layer. If you look at the inside of the card below, you can see all the sparkle from the glitter pen I used. Here is the sketch and my creation.
