My last ATC for this swap

Sorry for the late post but I created this last night and had to wait for the sun to come out to get a good picture.

Well I have created my last ATC (Artistic Trading Card) for the monthly swap I was in. The hostess has so much going on that she has decided not to continue the group next year. I understand how busy she is but I will miss participating as this was a great swap. The other ladies always did a nice job with their cards. I used this swap (as well as others I participate in) to increase my skills and challenge myself. I will continue to participate in other swaps as I enjoy them.

I wanted to try Michelle’s brayered background technique as I love her backgrounds but figured it would be easy to do a smaller version. Needless to say, I think a bigger image would be better. First I stamped my image and embossed it. The I inked up the brayer with Baja Breeze and starting off the card brayered down the card (Michelle does a great job on her tutorials on her blog). After that I then used Not Quite Navy and repeated the brayering but did not go all the way down so that some of the Baja Breeze still showed through. For my first time I don’t think it turned out too bad. Here is my final ATC for the year!

Stamps: Lovely As A Tree Paper: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Ski Slope DS Ink: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Versamark Accessories: Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, ribbon (Michael’s), brayer, sponge dauber, sticky tape, dimensionals

Do you think you will try Michelle’s brayered technique? I know I will be playing it with it some more. Thanks for looking and enjoy this gorgeous weather!
