Night in Bethlehem Recessed Panel Card

Happy Monday Everyone ~ I have a Night in Bethlehem Recessed Panel Card today.

Did you see the Super Moon last night?  It was so clear here and we had a great view of it.  I think there is supposed to be another one next month if you missed the one last night.  I had my last collage class yesterday ~ I still have some who could not make it today that I will make up this week.  We did our Christmas collage.  Now the ladies have a year’s worth of collage pictures to display in their house each month.  I have enjoyed designing these each month.

I was looking on Facebook yesterday and saw a great card.  As I was looking at it I had this idea pop into my head.  I began with a Whisper White panel that I stamped the Bethlehem skyline on using Crumb Cake.  Next I stamped Mary and Joseph using Night of Navy ink and the coordinating framelit was used to cut it out.  Taking another panel that used Night of Navy, I set the cut out in the lower right hand corner.  I marked on either side of the cut out so I would know how wide to cut my paper.  I then used my ruler to draw a line from the upper left hand corner down to the mark on the lower right hand corner.  I repeated on the other side to form a ray.  Using my trimmer, I cut on both lines so the panel was in 3 pieces.  A Gold Foil sheet was used to add a strip down the inside edge of the 2 outside panels ~ it is easy to see which ones to use as you can lay the Night of Navy panels on the white panel and they should match up on the edges.  Once you have attached the Gold Foil Sheet, you can then attach each of your 2 panels to the White Panel.  Add this panel to your card base.  Dimensionals are added to the cut out and it is attached to the lower right hand corner.  Gold Glimmer paper is used to cut out a star.  The star is added to the upper left hand corner over the opening of the ray using a glue dot.  My Night in Bethlehem Recessed Panel Card is now complete.
