Happy Monday Stampers ~ Ever wonder how to make a card and use No Patterned Paper?
Well Jess did not do well yesterday. She had a rough night Saturday night and yesterday she said the pain was worse that it had been before. She is taking her pain meds but I guess there is still a lot of pain involved. I am hoping today will be a better day for her.
Our challenge today at Make My Monday is all about creating and not using patterned paper. When I saw this I thought it would be an easy challenge. But as I started working on it, the card just needed something. So I decided to use an embossing folder on a background color to add some interest. I pulled out my Large polka dot embossing folder and embossed a piece of Crushed Curry. I attached it to a Whisper White card base and the started working on my other elements. I used the images from the Spooky Fun stamp set and matching framelits. I punched 2 Whisper White cirlces using 1 3/8″ circle punch. On one I stamped the ghosts from the set. I then used the matching framelits to cut out the witch and the bats. I stamped the moon on a piece of Crushed Curry and punched it out using the 1 3/8″ punch. I then punched out 3 Basic Black circles using the 1 1/2″ circle punch. I mounted the white and Crushed Curry circles onto the black. I added these to my card base using dimensionals. I added the witch and bats cut outs using glue dots. I then stamped my sentiment and used the retired Word Window punch to punch it out. It was added to my card base using dimensionals. Here is my card that was created without patterned paper.
