Not sure about this one!

Hello Everyone ~ Have you ever created a card and when it was finished you said to your self , “hmmm Not sure about this one”?

Well I did get a new haircut that I am not thrilled with the way it was styled.  I am hoping I can do my own styling today and like it better.  If not I have an appointment in 5 weeks and can change it up.  Stay tuned for further opinions!

I had mentioned I wanted to play with some of my tools and I took some time the other day to do that.  I pulled out my Ken Oliver Colorbursts.  I was hoping to create a background and another page for some die cut leaves.  I grabbed my watercolor paper and sprinkled on some of the Colorbursts.  I then spritzed it with water.  I kept spritzing until it was pretty saturated.  I then picked up the paper and tilted it to have colors blend.  I then set it aside to dry.  After it dried I took my Lovely As a Tree stamp set and some Early Espresso ink to strategically stamp the group of trees.  I then used a framelit to cut it out.  I mounted it onto a piece of Very Vanilla and sponged the edges with Garden Green.  I took a piece of Cajun Craze and the Brick Wall Embossing folder to emboss it.  I attached this to a Very Vanilla card base.  The tree panel was added to the lower right edge using dimensionals.  To finish off the card I took a piece of Very Vanilla and the Early Espresso ink to stamp the sentiment.  I added some Cajun Craze dots and tied a piece of brown twine around it.  I added this to upper left hand corner of the card base.  Here is my finished creation.

While writing this post I thought of a few things that may make a difference.  First I need to do only one color of the Colorburst at a time and dry it in between.  This may help the colors not bleed so badly.  I also thought I could stamp the trees and cut them out but then cut across so the tops were the only thing cut out.  I could then stamp the stamp on the Vanilla and add the tops separately.  I think I have some more playing to do! ?

Thanks for visiting me today.  I have a workshop this morning and then I will be working in my craft room to make some more design team cards.  Have a Fabulous Friday and remember it is okay to say “hmmm Not sure about this one!” for some cards you have made.
