Have you ever had an idea for a card and basically had a picture of what it should look like in your head. Well today’s card is one of those. I started out with an idea of what my card should look like when it was completed but the final product is not anything like I pictured.
I started with Gretchen’s Weekend Sketch challenge. I had wanted to use the technique where you stamp on black with craft white ink. You let it dry (or use a heat tool) and then using pencils color the stamped image. I chose the Upsy Daisy stamp set as I thought it would be a good one. I colored it in with the Pure Color Pencils (retired). The finished product just didn’t pop like I wanted it to. Here is the sketch and my creation.

For those who are wondering, my papillon had knee surgery yesterday. I get to pick her up this afternoon. I am hoping this takes care of the problem as she loves to run and zoom and she hasn’t been able to do that.
As I finished this post I realized that the cards I have seen that I liked all used a white gel pen to highlight the image. I will do that tomorrow and take another photo and post so you can see the difference. Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Hi Robbie — I'm a little behind in learving comments but I think this card turned out great. I would love to see it once you've added the white accents! Thanks so much for playing along with Inspiration in Action. Congratulations, as well, on being chosen for the LNS DT! I look forward to your leadership and creativity! Blessings, Gretchen
