Like that title? Today’s card combines the challenge from each of these blogs. On the Our Creative Corner blog this week you had to include a tag somewhere on your card. A new blog I have recently discovered is Tag, You’re It and this blog is all about making tags. Since I have not done an ATC swap in a while, I was feeling the need to create a small piece of art so I decided to give it a try.
The requirements for the Tag, You’re It challenge was to use Circles and Swirls on your card. I had a piece of patterned paper I ran across when looking for ones for my daughters cards that I felt would be perfect for the swirls since it had bees on it. So I thought I would make a tag then use the tag on a card for the Our Creative Corner challenge.
The bee paper used yellow and black so I went with those colors. Since I wanted the tag to pop I decided to use Cameo Coral as one base for my tag. I also searched for my black polka dot organdy ribbon as it would be perfect for the tag and card. To make the swirls I used the Swirls Scribble sizzlet and cut one is yellow and black. I also stamped a swirl on the background using black ink. Since the sizzlet had lots of little pieces I decided to use them randomly on the card and inside. I like the way this card turned out.
