I think I went overboard with the flowers!

Yeah, it’s hump day! I have had so much fun playing with the challenges this week. I didn’t realize how much I had missed them over the past 2 weeks. I am so looking forward to playing in some of my new challenges next week also. Today’s card was fun to make. I started with the challenge from Stampin’ B’s Design Team which was to create a gate fold card with a flower. When I…

I love Black Eyed Susan’s

I love black eyed susan’s! I seem to use them a lot this time of year. I had fun creating the large and small flowers with the punches. I began with selecting my color challenge. I decided to use the colors from the Color Throwdown blog. You were to use dark brown (Chocolate Chip), Kraft, Old Olive, dark yellow (Summer Sun). Good Afternoon! I had some more color and sketch challenges I wanted to participate in so I hit the craft room again. The first was the color challenge at Diva Coffee Break Designs. You were to use Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Garden Green, and Kraft. I have to admit when I saw this color combination my first thought was “Ugh, what can I do with this”! So I decided to go looking for a sketch…

An Accordion Scrap Book

Good Morning! I worked on another simple scrap book and got it finished. This one uses legal envelopes to hold the pictures. I found a great tutorial on how to make this scrap book at Inking Addict Designs. Paula does a great job with her directions and the pictures make it clear what you need to do. I did modify my belly band. I used stick on velcro dots to hold mine closed. I didn’t…

Playing with some challenges

I hope everyone is having a great evening. I spent some time in my craft room playing with some challenges today. I was able to combine 4 (yes I said 4) challenges on this card. I think it is so cute. The first challenge I used as the color challenge from the Color Dare blog. You had to use Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel, Elegant Eggplant, and Pumpkin Pie. I thought these would make great Halloween…
