Happy Friday Everyone ~ Yesterday I promised you a Paper Pumpkin Christmas card and here it is.
Well I did manage to get my room cleaned up yesterday. I figured I could do that as if I needed to stop to help Remi I could. I managed to get it started while she napped in the morning. She took another nap in the afternoon and I was able to finish it up. I have her this morning while Jess goes to work to finish up some projects she needed to complete since she had to take off on Wednesday. She will then be home in the afternoon to take her while I do a workshop. Remi is a little better in that her fever is now low grade. I am hoping she will be fine by Monday as I have a lot to get finished next week since I was not able to complete anything this week. I will try and get a few cards made as I need some to post over the next few days.
I played with my August Paper Pumpkin while I was in North Carolina. I have used several different sets that have sprig stamps in them to create a wreath. I began by taking the sprig and bending it slightly on my block. That is the beauty of photopolymer stamps – you can shape them to fit your stamping need. To ensure I get a good circle shape, I used a template and lightly traced around it to have a circle. Using a mechanical pencil is perfect for this – it is light enough to be seen and the eraser erases all of the pencil marks. Garden Green was used to ink up the sprig and then I stamped them around the circle. When I was finished, I used my eraser and erased the circle. The wreath needed some red so I used the little sprinkle and stamped it in Real Red around the wreath. I mounted my panel onto a Real Red layer which was then added to a Whisper White card base. Using the Labels of Love stamp set, I stamped it in Real Red and used the outline as a guide to cut it out. The Everyday Label Punch was used with a piece of Real Red to punch out the shape. The sentiment was added to the Real Red punched piece and then added to the center of the wreath using dimensionals. To finish off my creation I added a Real Red bow in the lower part of the wreath. Here is my completed creation.
