Paper Pumpkin DIY

Can you believe it is Friday already?  I don’t know where the week goes.  I don’t have a lot going on so I would think the week would drag by.  Sometimes I wish it would slow down a little!  How about you?

This is my final day for playing with the June Paper Pumpkin – Expressions in Color.  I have enjoyed making the cards as well alternative and inspired ideas.  I love it when the kit coordinates with products in our Annual Catalog.

If you have subscribed to Paper Pumpkin in the past and was disappointed in the kit, I have to admit they have changed it so much.  I love the face that now you can see the kit before you order it.  If you don’t care for the kit you can suspend your subscription for that month and wait for the next month’s project.  Next month there is a masculine theme with an Adventure Begins kit.

Don’t you love that outdoor look? This kit is a real bargain as you will make 12 full size nature inspired cards! To check out the details, click the image above. I also offer a Connect and Create via Zoom on July 26th 7:00 – 9:00 pm for my subscribers where we can chat and get to know each other while we put our kits together. What a great way to craft and get to know others!

I have the last card from this month’s kit to share with you today. I have to admit this was not my favorite card – too much going on in the background for me.

So with those supplies I decided to see what I could do as an alternative idea.  I so like this card so much better than the original.  What do you think?

This is the inside and envelope for both the original and alternative.

While I was working with the kit I got inspired to use the cut out left when you punched out the sprays.  Here is what I created using the cut out and the Expressions in Ink Suite.

So which is your favorite?  I also love using the Just because sentiment as it is appropriate for any occasion.  Here is an idea using some of the new patterned paper that is on sale this month.  This idea uses die cuts and punches for the main focal point.

While I used the die cuts and cut out for this card I also used the following products.  Don’t miss out on a special thank you from me.  Use the host code when your order is under $150.
