Paper Pumpkin Kits
Hello Stampers – The Paper Pumpkin Kits are a great way for a fun and simple paper crafting creative outlet!
Today I have water aerobics and then I have a hair cut. Sometime today I need to get my card for my Facebook Live made. Looks like a busy day for me!
This time I decided to play with another one of the cards from this month’s kit. This time I chose to use the pink and purple watercolor splotched card. I first made the card exactly as it is in the kit. As you can see this is a cute card just the way it is.
But is you are like me you may want each card to be unique just like the person you will send this to. With that in mind I created an alternative idea. This time I cut the card apart and mounted it onto a White card base. I also used some of the Polished Pink open weave ribbon for a fun ribbon spray. Since the sentiment element had a green border and I was not using green, I flipped it over and used the stamp from the stamp set and added some Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia to the background to accent the sentiment. Here is the alternative design.
Inside of alternative – I did not waste any of the scraps from where I cut the card down as I used them inside the card and on the envelope. I also took the same stamp used for the sentiment and stamped it on top of the flower for some interest.
Since this kit also coordinates with the Expressions in Ink suite I used that for my alternate idea. I chose the Polished Pink watercolor background and cut the side so it would have the watercolor effect at the top. I cut the paper at 3 1/2″ rather than 4″ as I was going to add the gold and white striped pattern at the bottom. I glued the 2 pieces together so they measured 4″ – this is when the grid paper is so handy! To tie it into the Paper Pumpkin card, I cut the lacy flower spray out of gold foil. After I had my card assembled, I sprinkled on some retired gold gems. Check out this Paper Pumpkin Kits inspired idea!
