It’s the weekend stampers ~ to start your weekend off I have a Paper Pumpkin Smile card for you.
I did it! Yesterday Jess and I went to Annapolis. I had 2 tasks ~ check out the apple store and a personal shopping trip. Well I had success with both tasks. I ended up getting a new laptop and a new iPad. I was so glad I went to the store. I had a really nice gentleman who helped me pick out the laptop that was perfect for me. The ones the people from the chat were trying to sell me had lots of bells and whistles that I did not need or want. This guy explained all the info about the speed, memory, and storage. I was so glad as I saved about $1000 by not buying all the bells and whistles. The same was true with the iPad. I was to the point I could not update my operating system as it was so old. I had thought I wanted the larger size but when I saw it I totally changed my mind. I ended up getting one like I have but with a newer operating system and more storage. This way I don’t have to worry about how much storage I have used. I was a happy camper last night.
I had to do a back up of my computer to my external hard drive and then I am going to transfer it to my new laptop. today I am hoping everything goes well and I will be up and running today. I will be glad to be able to use my laptop without a message popping up telling me I am almost out of space and to optimize my storage. If I don’t post tomorrow you will know I ran into some problems!
The September 2017 Paper Pumpkin had a Fall theme. It included some treat pockets and little 3 x 3 cards. The little cards cannot be mailed and I do not have a use for the little cards. I decided to use the little envelope as a pocket for the front of the card. Since the mini envelope was already colored, I used it as the color for my card. I began by creating my layer for the card base. I stamped the flower from Garden in Bloom using Tangerine Tango. The leaves were stamped using Wild Wasabi. This was attached to the card base. I used just the outline stamp of the flower for the front of the envelope. I stamped the leaves with the same color. The flap of the envelope was tucked inside to create a pocket. The pocket was attached to the card base using dimensionals. An insert was cut a little smaller than the envelope and a tab was punched from Tangerine Tango. The sentiment was stamped on the circle using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The tab was folded in half and attached to the insert making a little finger pull for the insert. To finish off the card a piece of the copper twine from the Paper Pumpkin kit was tied around the envelope. The card is complete. Here is my creation.
