Patterned Paper for Card Making

Patterned Paper for Card Making

Hello Everyone ~ I love using Patterned Paper for Card Making as it makes crafting a card quick and easy.

I got everything I needed to design completed yesterday.  I have the bedrooms ready and today I will work on my great room.  It won’t take me long so I can then spend the time while I am waiting for Jake to get here working on blog posts and other things I have to do.

I was so excited as I thought I had everything I needed to design finished about 3 yesterday.  Then I realized my Hand Stamped Paper Crafting Challenges design card was not done.  I headed back to my studio to make this card.

Our challenge this time is a sketch.

Since I was strapped for time, I knew my patterned paper would come to my rescue.  I looked in my catalog and when the Art Gallery bundle came up I knew the coordinating patterned paper would come to my rescue.

I chose 2 patterns that I could pair well and started working on my card.  For my flower, I took my colors from the patterned paper.  I did change it up a little as I did not like the So Saffron and Bumblebee combination.  I opted to use So Saffron and Crushed Curry and love how it turned out.

I wanted the flower the main focus of the card so I used the Layering Circles to cut the circle and the scalloped larger circle to the bottom layer.  I think it really places the emphasis on the flower.

To put my card together, I added my patterned papers to a layer of coordinating card stock.  Now all I had to do was follow the sketch and assemble my card.  Here is my Patterned Paper for Card Making interpretation of the sketch.
