Peaceful Poppies with Colored Tissue Paper

Hello Everyone ~ I played with some of the colored tissue paper I made a while ago for my Peaceful Poppies with Colored Tissue Paper card today.

I am sad to say I only did a little cleaning on my studio yesterday.  I did however get my 2 videos created.  That leaves me with 1 card and 1 video for the rest of this week.  Today I will spend some time cleaning and then work on my card and video.   Most of the items are things that need to be put away.  I need a way to organize my Occasions and Sale-a-bration products so they are separate from the rest of my stuff.  I need to think about this and see what I can come up with.  I may have an idea that will work but need to play with it first.  I can then also put the elements I stamped and die cut while I was in Maryland in there also so I know where they are.  I will work on it a little at a time to make sure I get it finished.  I only have a week or so to do it in before I have my Monthly Card Class.

I had a piece of the tissue paper I had dyed using reinkers several month ago that I thought would be great to use for poppy flowers.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped the small poppy all over it.  I then fussy cut the flowers out.  I stamped the whole sheet and cut all the flowers out and had some left over that I will use on another card.  I used a piece of Whisper White card stock and determined the placement of my flowers.  I then used the same stamp to stamp the flower onto the white card stock.  I created a bunch of masks from post-it notes and placed them on top of the stamped images.  This allowed me to stamp the leaves behind the flowers.  I used ink in the lid and a blender pen to color in the leaves quickly to allow light and dark coloring.  The masks were removed and some Tear & Tape tape was placed on top of the stamped flowers.  The tissue paper flowers were then adhered to the flower outline.  A piece of the burlap ribbon was added at the top using Tear & Tape.  I took another piece of the burlap ribbon and pulled the center threads out.  That piece was then used to tie around the knot around the ribbon.  The sentiment came from the Honey Bee stamp set and was stamped on a scrap of Whisper White using Merry Merlot.  The little tag die in the Ornate Frames dies was used to cut out the sentiment.  It was longer than I needed to I trimmed the end off.  Using one of the threads pulled out of the burlap ribbon a bow was tied through the hole of the tag.  The tag was added using glue dots.  Here is the completed Peaceful Poppies with Colored Tissue Paper creation.

I have shared some other cards using the colored tissue paper technique.  Did you see this one that uses a blue colored tissue paper for a great card idea?  This one uses the card stock the tissue paper was set on to dry for the scalloped circle element.  Here is a masculine idea that uses another blue tissue paper for a water scene idea.
