Perennial Birthday Blooms from Stampin’ Up

Hello Everyone ~ how about a fun card of encouragement today with my Perennial Birthday Blooms from Stampin’ Up creation.

Well I still had issues with my computer this morning so I called Apple again.  We ended up reinstalling the operating system to see if that would take care of the problem.  So far it has been okay but we will see how it is tomorrow.  After that I started working on my swap.  I got the one swap completed and in the clear envelope.  I still need to do the recipe for the card and stuff them in the envelopes.  I am saving that for the end as I can do that after I get to Orlando if I need to.  I also worked some more on one of my pillow gifts.  I am making calendars so I had to design my template (which I did the other day) and then fill in each month with the days.  I managed to get January, February, March, April, May, and June completed yesterday.  Today I am going to work on another swap and work on the calendar again.  I do not have any plans to go anywhere so I will have lots of time to work on my projects.

Today I played with the Perennial Birthday stamp set and paired it with the Garden Impression designer series paper.  I began with the larger flower image from the set and using Balmy Blue, Shaded Spruce, and Blushing Bride markers to ink up the stamp.  I stamped it on a piece of Whisper White to create a background.  I also stamped one on a scrap piece of paper and fussy cut it out.  The sentiment from the set was added at the bottom of the background panel using Blueberry Bushel ink.  I used the Decorative Ribbon border punch and some gold foil paper to create an edge.  I attached this to the top of a piece of the Garden Impressions dsp and added it to my Balmy Blue card base.  The handmade designer series paper I created with the stamp was added on top of this panel.  The fussy cut flower was added to a piece of the same dsp and then attached to a piece of gold foil paper.  This element was added to the card base using dimensionals.  Here is the completed Perennial Birthday Blooms from Stampin’ Up creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I am hoping to get another swap completed today and work some more on my calendar pillow gift.  We will see what I get done as I have to go to the recycling center also.  Have a Super Saturday and what did you think of my Perennial Birthday Blooms from Stampin’ Up creation?
