Perennial Birthday Friends

Happy Saturday Everyone ~ I have a gorgeous Perennial Birthday Friends card for you today!

Well we did not go to the concert last night.  It was too hot, we had to get there an hour before it started to get a parking space, the concert was going to be 2 hours long before the fireworks and the kids would not have handled that well.  We opted to stay home.  I did my Facebook Live last night and then went over to visit some.  It was probably a good decision as the girls would have been very active and we may have had to leave earlier than planned.  Today we are going to have an early dinner of steamed crabs and shrimp.  Michaela has a very early flight out on Sunday so it will be an early bedtime for them.  It has been nice having Michaela here.  We are not sure when she will be back as where we live is not on her route of business travel.

The next stamp set I had in my Journey through the Catalog was the Perennial Birthday stamp set.  I love the little flowers in this set and they make great fillers in your background when you need just a little something.  I began by stamping the sentiment from Eastern Beauty in Blackberry Bliss.  I then used the little flower from Perennial Birthday and did a second generation stamping using Blackberry Bliss around the sentiment.  I then used the little leaves from the same set and my Mint Macaron marker to ink them up and stamp them around the sentiment also.  I used a 2″ circle punch to punch out the sentiment.  The Starburst punch was used to punch a piece of Blackberry Bliss and the 2 1/4″ punch was used for a Silver Metallic circle.  All these elements were stacked.  Using a piece of Blackberry Bliss and the Petal Burst Embossing folder I embossed the strip.  A piece of the Tranquil Textures designer series paper was layered onto a piece of Mint Macaron card stock.  The 2 strips were set onto the card front to determine placement of the dots.  The dots were stamped using a second generation stamping using Blackberry Bliss.  After the dots were stamped, I added the embossed Blackberry Bliss strip using Tear & Tape.  The Tranquil Textures designer series paper layer was add onto overlapping the Blackberry Bliss strip slightly.  The sentiment circle element was added using dimensionals.  To finish off the card some sequins were added using glue dots.  Here is the completed Perennial Birthday Friends creation.
