Petal Pair Textured Embossing Folders Idea

Hello Everyone ~ Are you ready for my Petal Pair Textured Embossing Folders Idea card today?

Well I spent yesterday morning delivering my donations.  I am still not done but at least some of it is out of the house.  I then spent the afternoon cleaning the grout in my bathroom.  I still have the grout in the mud room and the upstairs bathroom.  I will do that at a later time as I have some things to get finished this week.  Hopefully I can get a lot done as well as make some cards for my blog.  The cards will be quick and easy as I need to spend my time getting more things organized.  Today I have to meet a lady to see if she is interested in any of my fabric.  I would like to get the material to good homes as I cannot take it with me.  Wish me luck!

I saw this idea on the internet and decided to give it a try.  It is not an easy technique and you have to be patient and take your time.  To start you take a paper and emboss with an embossing folder.  Then you will use markers to color the embossed part of the paper.  I played with each side to see which one I wanted to emboss.  I opted for this side as I liked the look.  I used the Fresh Fig marker to color the larger flower images.  Once I had those colored I used the Sweet Sugarplum to color the next flower.  The mum looking flower was colored using So Saffron.  The rose looking flower was colored with Soft Sky.  I then went back with Pear Pizzazz and colored in all my leaves.

Now the fun begins!  I took the colored embossed image and cut out around the embossing.  You need to take your time with this as look at the embossing so you don’t cut off part of the embossing.  Once I had the strip cut out, I took and applied Tear & Tape and attached it to a Fresh Fig panel.  Naturally I had to use some of that beautiful organza ribbon.  I added it to the top of the card and used glue dots to add the bow.  Make sure you check out my January Creations of the Month here as I used the same embossing folders in this class.  Here is my completed Petal Pair Textured Embossing Folders Idea.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  So what did you think of this technique?  It might be a good one with an embossing folder that did not have as much detail.  Don’t forget to check out my Creations of the Month here as I used this embossing folder in the January class.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and will you be trying the Petal Pair Textured Embossing Folders idea?
