Hello Everyone ~ I have a great fun Petal Passion Impossible Card for you today!
Well we will have rain later today which will cancel many of our outside activities. Then it will rain most of the weekend off and on. I hope you plans will not be canceled. The hardest ones will be those who have gone to the beach for the opening of the beach season. Maybe they will only get rain in the evening. I had to run an errand earlier today and the traffic for the people getting off work early from the Navy Base was crazy. I live in a rural area but traffic was backed up at least 5 miles. It was crazy!
My share today is a card I have seen on the internet quite a lot. It is called the impossible card. There are many variations out there but I wanted to make sure mine would fit into an A2 envelope (card size is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). I went searching and found directions to make my card the size I needed. Now that I had the dimensions I needed to choose colors. Most of the ones I found used several different designer series paper. I wanted to use only one pattern for the side pieces so I had to do some playing to get the pattern for the side pieces. After I had my side panels decorated I needed to add my sentiment and an image. I used the Petal Palette stamp set and coordinating thinlits. The sentiment was punched with a 1 1/2″ circle punch and layered with a 1 3/4″ circle. Now the main card was created it was not stable. I added a strip across the bottom from side to side to ensure the card was stable. Here is the completed creation.
