Hello Ladies ~ the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper was a challenge to work with.
Are you staying dry? It has rained so much today and tomorrow it is supposed to rain most of the day. We are headed to Leesburg, Virginia for an evening wedding. My best friend’s daughter is getting married. It is supposed to be an outside wedding at a winery but I have a feeling it will moved to the pavilion as I don’t think the rain will stop in time for the big event. We have already talked about shoes we will need to take as I am sure things will be very wet and we will need to get from the car to the event. It will be interesting to see what happens as there is also flooding going on in our area. Good thing the venue is in the mountains so we may be safe in that area.
Have you checked out my Mixed Bag opportunity yet? This is a great opportunity to play with designer series paper before purchasing an entire package. The other advantage to this program is if you don’t think you want a whole package but you want to play with it, this allows you to do just that. And an extra bonus is you will also receive exclusive cut files for how to cut the paper in several different ways. Check it out and order yours soon.
Today my card uses the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper. This paper has some challenges with it. When I saw the paper with all the roses the This Little Piggy stamp set came to mind. I knew the flying piggy would be perfect. I chose the roses paper and needed to pick my background. I tried several of the pinks they suggested and did not like any of them. One of the other colors was Mossy Meadow. That was the one I liked the most so I decided to use it. I loved the flying pig from the stamp set and decided to use it. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the Petal Pink ink and a blender pen to color it and a Crumb Cake marker to color her feet. Petal Pink is one of the colors suggested to be used with this paper. As you can see I don’t think it matches well. I will be on a mission to see what pink goes with it better. After I had the pig colored in I used the Wink of Stella on the wings so they sparkle ~ gotta have my bling! Now I need a sentiment. I really wanted “Stop and smell the roses” as it would have been perfect for the paper. We don’t have that one and after I chose a sentiment from Eastern Beauty I realized I could have printed that on the computer. I think I will be doing that the next time. I mounted my image onto Mossy Meadow paper and using dimensionals attached it to the card base. Here is my Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper creation.
