Pink & Gray Cherish

I recently went through my individual stamps as I hadn’t inked them up lately. I had this stamp and thought it would interesting to cut the center out and line it with patterned paper. I think this was an interesting change from stamping a saying in the center.

The challenge this week on Colour Create was to use pink and gray. I love these 2 colors together. I also knew I had some gray velvet ribbon I knew matched my Basic Gray so I went with it. I recently discovered Deanne’s blog . At Just My Sketches Deanne posts 2 card sketches and 2 layouts each month. I looked through the last 2 months of her sketches and chose this one as I loved the layout. I chose to watercolor the frame as it had been a while since I had watercolored and I was feeling the need. When the card was almost finished it needed something so I pulled out my Star gel pens and added some bling. This is a cute card and other than the frame is fairly easy. Hope you enjoy it.

Edited to add: Here is the sketch I forgot to include.

inside of card

Hope you enjoyed this card. It was a little less flowery than my most recent creations but I wanted to do a simple card. I hope you get some time to play today. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
