Hello everyone – I love getting free things and today’s card was the result of Playing with a freebie.

In a recent order I got a free Mintay Chocolate Kiss pattern paper collection. I loved the pink and brown color combo in the collection so pulled 2 patterns to play with.

Today’s Project

Polka dots are one of my favorite patterns to use in my crafting. Paired with some hearts and you have a great Valentine’s card.

The strip of brown with pink dots really sets the the 2 pattern papers off. Great way to use 2 different patterns.

The sentiment was stamped and punched with a heart punch. To add more interest to it I used another punch for a chocolate heart and then a wavy circle punch.

About my card

White – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
scrap for stamping and punching
chocolate – 4″ x 5 1/4″
scrap for punching
pink – scrap for punching
Mintay Chocolate Kiss pattern paper – pink with brown polka dots 1 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
pink with brown hearts 1 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
chocolate with pink dots 1/2″ x 5 1/8″

Here is a black and white card with a red sweetheart punched heart that is very striking. I used the large heart punch for one of the hearts on this card.
